I’ll present two core conundrums that arise when seeking to eliminate the logical omniscience assumption in the semantics of “believe": a puzzle about deduction and a puzzle about inconsistency. I show how we can solve these two puzzles by adopting a conception of propositions as inherently question-directed. I’ll compare my framework to that of Hawke, Özgün and Berto (2020) and to the radical inquisitive propositions of Groenendijk and Roelofsen (2010).
