First, the experience changes some of the beliefs of the agent. Then, the agent adapts her\u00a0remaining beliefs accordingly. While there are normative accounts for the second step, the first step is often conceived\u00a0\u00a0of as an arational purely causal procedure. The goal\u00a0of this paper is to explore the possibility of providing a normative account for the first step as well.
