We are particularly interested in the interplay between logic and the social sciences, i.e. both in studying complex social-epistemic scenarios as well as in the logical tools and techniques that can be used to model them. We approach the theme of this workhop from an interdisciplinary angle, and welcome any insights on to the topic coming from areas such as Logic, Game Theory, Belief Revision Theory, Formal Epistemology, Social Science, Cognitive Science and AI (multi-agent systems).<\/p>\n<p>The focus of this workshop includes (but is not restricted to) the following topics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>formal representations of higher-order belief and knowledge \u2013 belief revision strategies and knowledge update rules<\/li>\n<li>epistemic and doxastic influence<\/li>\n<li>information flow in social networks<\/li>\n<li>rational interaction<\/li>\n<li>epistemic planning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This workshop is the fourth event which follows after the workshop on \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.illc.uva.nl\/LogiCIC14\/\">Correlated Information Change<\/a>\u201d held in 2014, the workshop on \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.illc.uva.nl\/lgc\/seminar\/?p=2106\">Social Dynamics of information Change<\/a>\u201d held in 2013, and the kick-off workshop on \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ninagierasimczuk.com\/logicic\/kickoff\/\">Belief Dynamics in Social Context<\/a>\u201d held in 2012.<\/p>\n<p>See also the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.illc.uva.nl\/lgc\/seminar\/2015\/10\/logicic-workshop-call-for-papers-reasoning-in-social-context\/\">Call for Papers<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>More information at <a href=\"https:\/\/logicicworkshop2015.wordpress.com\/\">logicicworkshop2015.wordpress.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The LIRA affiliated LogiCIC Workshop on Reasoning in social context will take place on November 26-28, 2015 in Amsterdam.<br \/>\nVia this workshop, we are creating a forum to exchange ideas and explore new territory in which it is clear that logic can make a difference.
