Classical logic faces pressures from many sides, but also many points have
been made in its defence. I will argue that the semantic paradoxes and the
issue of indeterminacy in the world provide strong motivations for
diverging from classical logic and that at least some of the points made
in its favour, such as its strength and the cost of abandoning classical
rules, can be answered satisfactorily.
