On the occasion of the SMART conference 2017 this year’s theme will be
SMART Animals: Highlighting the contributions from the humanities to cognitive science
on 6-8 December 2017, in the University of Amsterdam. Practical information including route descriptions to the different venues will be published here.
Topics to be addressed at this conference deal with animal cognition in the large sense. Besides the evening lectures, there will be full-day workshops around this theme on all conference days. Please consult the conference webpage for details about the schedule and specific locations.
The conference is free of charge. However, you will need to formally register to be allowed in the workshop or lecture rooms. The deadline for registration is November 15th. You can find the link to the registration form here.
SMART is an acronym for Speech & language, Music, Art, Reasoning & Thought. We organize lectures, conferences, and discussions to highlight the important contributions to cognitive science from the humanities.
