Title: “You Won’t Believe What this Random Variable Just Did”
Abstract:
My talk will be a progress report on an ongoing project in multi-agent probability theory. The purpose of this project is partly to clarify the theoretical connections between classical probability theory and dynamic multi-agent logics and partly to implement a practical system for probabilistic multi-agent reasoning. In the process of constructing this implementation, however, I’ve come to realize a couple of things about how best to think about multi-agent probabilities, some of which conflict with conventional wisdom in logic and probability theory. I’ll share these thoughts with you, and we’ll take some time to poke around in the current implementation of the system so you’ll get a sense of its scope and design philosophy.
