Topological Epistemology: Tutorial by Kevin Kelly

On Friday 20 January, 1:00-4:00 pm and Monday 23 January, 1:00-5:00 pm, Professor Kevin Kelly (Carnegie Mellon) will give a tutorial on Topological Epistemology.

The tutorials will take place in room A1.10, Science Park 904.

Abstract:
Traditionally, discussions of inductive inference and empirical justification are framed within logic and probability theory. I will argue at length that the right framework is topology. I will develop the story systematically and from scratch, for a general audience.
