In January 2025, QISS PhD candidate Ailsa Robertson led an interdisciplinary, multi-stakeholder workshop on the ecosystem of quantum-safe cryptography in the Netherlands. The workshop aimed to generate input for the QISS “Ecosystem” subproject, which focuses on developing policy guidance to support the proactive management of the Dutch transition to quantum-safe cryptography. On 2 October 2025 QISS PhD Candidate Eline de Jong  explored in her workshop “Visions of Quantum Technologies: The Ethics of Technofutures” how to put an “ethics of technofutures” into practice, particularly in the context of early-stage technologies like quantum. The originator of vision assessment, Professor Armin Grunwald, delivered a keynote lecture, followed by several presentations showcasing different ways in which this approach has been applied.
